Salford's Aim to Win Promotion, Says Boss

SALFORD CITY will look to get back in the title race today as they face a trip to Ilkeston in the Evo-Stik Premier.
Ilkeston are currently 14th but reached last season's play-off final and haven't lost in five home matches against the top eight this term.
Away games haven't been too much of a disadvantage for fourth- placed Salford, though, having lost just two out of 14.
And despite slipping 12 points off top spot after recent defeats by Darlington and leaders Blyth, joint-manager Anthony Johnson remains confident the Ammies can go up.
"That's what the aim is, to win promotion," he said.
"Blyth and Darlington are looking like they could make it a two- horse race and our job is to stay on their coat-tails.
"We've got to find the reasons why we've been second best to Blyth and Darlington and put them right. …
