Jersey City Man Gets 27 Years in Burglary, Carjack

JERSEY CITY -- A Jersey City man convicted for his role in a North Bergen armed home invasion and carjacking in June 2014 was sentenced to 27 years in state prison Friday in Superior Court.

Robert Warren, 23, also faces four counts of attempted murder in connection with a separate case in which four women were shot and wounded last year on Mother's Day while Warren was out on bail, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Leo Hernandez said.

In the early hours of June 2, 2014, Hernandez said that Warren and Gregory Eady, now 20, entered an apartment at 2502 Cottage Ave. in North Bergen with the intent to steal a number of items, including money and marijuana.

"They did that and after the fact, they carjacked another individual outside and shots were fired into the car," Hernandez said.

He said that ballistics and fingerprint evidence and surveillance footage was presented during Warren's trial. …
