Things Are Starting to Blossom

STOCKPORT band Blossoms have stormed to the top of the charts and knocked Adele's album from the number one spot. The group of five lads released the At Most a Kiss EP - featuring three other songs - and it is firmly placed in the coveted position.

Speaking to the M.E.N. frontman Tom Ogden, 22, said: "We are made up with it. It's really nice to see and it's a real testament to the fans who are so loyal. We want to show people we have got lots of material. The Smiths and Oasis did it with their B-sides and they were amazing."

He said the three extra tracks on the EP were recorded by themselves and mixed in just a few days.

Tom added: "The songs have gone down really well with the fans. We are going to blow them away with the album."

Blossoms album is set to be released later this year and will be playing festivals up and down the country. …
