ST. LOUIS * A St. Louis woman who fatally stabbed her brother when he said something insulting about rapper Nicki Minaj was sentenced Monday to seven years in prison.

Angela Hallmon stabbed her brother, Edward Hallmon, 55, on Dec. 21, 2013, during an argument about YouTube videos and "disparaging comments" about Minaj, court records say.

The siblings were intoxicated when Angela Hallmon, now 55, stabbed her brother in the chest at their home in the 5300 block of Northland Avenue, leaving him in a coma until his death March 8, 2015.

It is not clear what Edward Hallmon said about the woman Rolling Stone Magazine labeled the "Queen of Hip-Hop" in 2010. After being stabbed on an upper floor of the home, Edward Hallmon ran downstairs and sought help from relatives, who called 911. …
