ST. LOUIS COUNTY > Man charged with firing at police * Phillip Davis, 63, of Hanley Hills, was charged with multiple felonies after allegedly firing shots at St. Louis County police and U.S. marshals about 6:15 am. Wednesday. Nobody was hurt and officers did not return fire.

Officials said it happened as officers on a drug investigation in the 7200 block of Teal Avenue were spotted by their target, who ran. As they chased him, they heard two gunshots nearby, apparently fired by a man standing on his front porch in the 1900 block of Larch Drive. Police said he then fired three more times.

Police surrounded Davis' home, and he eventually surrendered. He was charged with assault/attempted assault on an officer, armed criminal action and first-degree assault on an officer. …
