Live musical accompaniment ranging from a solo pianist to a small orchestra again will demonstrate that there were sounds in the silent film era when the Kansas Silent Film Festival returns for its 20th year to White Concert Hall at Washburn University. The free event from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, with meal breaks, will include showings of such classics as "The Thief of Bagdad" and "Battleship Potemkin."
