A STAND-OUT performance from Jerelle Okoro helped Manchester Giants end a demoralising losing steak in style, beating Plymouth Raiders 91-83.

The guard had an impressive game to lead the Giants scoring with 21 points - and also took six steals.

The youngster was at the centre of an incident that saw the visitors' Corey Dixon and home favourite, Stefan Gill, disqualified in a tense finale to the action.

The pair clashed after Okoro was on the end of some rough treatment.

If that flashpoint was an unpleasant close to proceedings, the Giants will prefer to enjoy their first win in seven attempts.

Coach Yorick Williams said: "I'm happier than I was on Friday night.

"It was good to finally get the win."

The Giants were up 30-23 after a quarter and down 46-41 at half- time.

Giants tied the game at 57 in the third but the visitors took a 69-60 advantage into the fourth quarter. …
