When sisters Susan Lozinyak and Lynn Loetterle drove down Main Street of Mount Hope in Fayette County a decade ago, they both realized that they were seeing their future in the historic coal community. When they laid eyes on the empty 1930s-era Aide's Department Store, they knew they had found a home for their retirement dreams. The women, along with Susan's husband John, had long wanted to share an antique store. With the blessing of former Aide's co-owner Geneva Aide, the trio began plans to restore and open their business inside the building that had not operated since the 1990s.
