THE family of Dominic Doyle have slammed the 'vile animals' who took his life.

Outside court after his killers were sentenced, his aunt, Kelly Doyle, read a statement on behalf of the family.

She said: "These vile people have devastated a lot of people's lives, especially Dom's parents, taking away their only son - - they never got the chance to say goodbye to their boy. No sentencing will ever be good enough but we will just have to accept the sentence that has been passed.

"We don't want Dom's memory to be associated with these vile animals. We want Dom to be remembered for what he was - a vibrant fun loving son with an infectious personality and a practical joker, but most of all a cheeky chappie and a loyal friend to the end. …
