THE ultimate geek fest for gamers PLAY it! is heading back to Manchester this month.

The computer event at the Museum of Science & Industry, on Liverpool Road, returns on March 25 with 180 playable consoles from more than 30 years of gaming.

Thousands of visitors are expected to go along during its extended run, until April 17, and tickets are now on sale at the official PLAY it! website at msimanchester.org.uk/ whats-on/ activity/play-it.

New for 2016 will be Next Gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, alongside returning favourites the Commodore 64, Atari, Sony Nintendo and Playstation, Amiga, SNES, Sinclair Spectrum, Xbox 360, Sega Megadrive, Amstrad, BBC, Vectrex, Gamecube, and super Hi Spec PCs.

Games include: Pacman, Minecraft, Halo, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country, Pokemon Stadium, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Bond spin off GoldenEye 007, Guitar Hero, and Pong. …
