TRACK AND FIELD: RAM INVITATIONAL

SARASOTA -- Riverview__ High decided to keep both__ team trophies safe at home__ on a cold and windy Friday__ night at the annual Ram__ Invitational.__ Senior Warran Grajalez,__ also a cross country stand-out,__ led the Riverview boys__ with victories in both the__ 1,600- and 3,200-meter__ runs at the chilly Ram Bowl.__ However, there were no__ final team points standings__ for the 14 teams participating__ due to the fact that the__ lights at the Ram Bowl went__ out as the girls were running__ the 4 x 400 relay, the last__ event, when it went dark.__ It was deemed unsafe for__ the boys to run the same__ event. But the Rams were__ far enough ahead that they__ would have won even if__ they didn't place in the final__ event.__ Grajalez won the 1,600 in__ a time of 4 minutes, 34.02__ seconds, more than eight__ seconds ahead of freshman__ Charles Moody of North__ Port in second place. …
