Kansas State University to Host Bull Riding School, Rodeo

Three jam-packed weekends of rodeo activities are set for February at Kansas State University.

According to Brooke Wallace, spokeswoman for the K-State Rodeo Club, the Kansas State Iron Woman competition kicked off the action Saturday. A bull riding school will be Feb. 12-13, and the annual Kansas State University Rodeo will be Feb. 19-21.

Each event will be sponsored by the K-State Rodeo Club at Weber Arena on the northern edge of the Manhattan campus.

The K-State Rodeo Club Bull Riding School on Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, will feature professional bull rider Dave Samsel, according to Casey Winn, who coaches the K-State Rodeo Team and serves as adviser to the K-State Rodeo Club. Winn is chairman of the bull riding school, which is open to the public. …
