THE Palace Theatre has revealed plans to redevelop one of its bars into a bistro.

The city centre theatre is looking to transform its Revue Bar, on the circle level, into the Oxford St Bistro with seating for around 60 people for pre-show dining.

Floor plans have been drawn up for the space which will feature a dining room overlooking Oxford Street, and relocate the existing bar to the rear of the room with additional seating for pre-show and interval drinks.

Operating hours remain the same, and a spokesperson confirmed that the theatre is now discussing branding options.

The menu is likely to feature sharing platters, burgers, pizzas, curries, and classic bangers and mash, similar to the menus at the new bistro-cafes at two other venues in the Ambassador Theatre Group family: the Liverpool Empire and the Bristol Hippodrome. …
