AN auspicious teenage footballer suffered a serious spinal cord injury, meaning he has no feeling below his chest.

Like many young footballers, Ellis Robinson, 17, has an ambition to be a professional footballer and throughout his young life football has been his only passion, playing for the likes of Lyndhurst, Failsworth Dynamos, Moston Valley, Avro's, Failsworth School, Oldham Town, Manchester County, Rochdale, Limeside King George, Limeside Athletic, Curzon Ashton and Ashton United.

Before joining a further education course at Oldham College that enabled Ellis to continue his passion for football, Ellis was put forward for trials for England College Boys, just missing out at the final stages. Despite this disappointment it didn't deter Ellis and still carried on by pursuing his career. …
