DON'T GO YAYA ; Blues Manager Says Toure Could Play Important Role for Guardiola Next Season

MANUEL Pellegrini is convinced that Yaya Toure shouldn't call time on his City career at the end of the season.

The Ivorian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Etihad for the last two years and speculation has intensified since the Blues announced Pep Guardiola would be taking over in the summer. The Spaniard sold Toure to City when he was in charge at Barcelona in 2010.

But Pellegrini says the 32-year-old is still a vital player.

"He will always be a very important player here - in every club that he plays," said the Chilean. "I don't know (about the future) because I am not thinking about that and neither is Yaya.

"But in every team he plays, he will be an important player."

Meanwhile, Pellegrini believes a record low points total will be enough to crown City Premier League champions. …
