Hertz Plans to Cut 75 More Jobs in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY - Hertz Global Holdings plans to cut another 75 jobs from its Oklahoma City car rental operations in about five months, officials said Monday just a few weeks after announcing the loss of 255 employees in the area.

The eliminated positions will be in the new vehicle purchasing unit within the fleet operations group of the national chain, according to spokesman Bill Masterson. He could not confirm whether more cuts are expected.

"We're doing a modernization program at our Oklahoma service center, which is going to touch a few areas there to look to update a number of processes we have in place, and in some cases that involves working with outside vendors," he said.

"We are reviewing operations as part of the overall modernization project. …
