Williams Says Giants Need More Self-Belief

GLASGOW ROCKS ... 77 GIANTS....................... 69 YORICK Williams urged his Manchester Giants to have self-belief after they lost at the death in Glasgow.

They travelled north without Ingus Bankevics, Sam Attah and Ryan Lewis and held their own for much of the game.

But the Giants could not quite get over the line after Stefan Gill's two-pointer put them within three points of their rivals with less than three minutes to play.

The Rocks held their nerve to win by eight and Williams said: "They're are a bit more experienced than us and it showed at the end. I have said to the guys they have to have the belief that they can do it because we were good for most of the game."

Williams asked a lot of Jerelle Okoro and the young guard met the challenge again, playing all but 33 seconds of the game and coming up with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. …
