Snowball-Throwing Pupils Accused of Acting like a 'Mob'

POLICE were called when numerous residents complained about a 'mob' of schoolchildren swearing, screaming and hurling snowballs at cars.

Bosses at St Peter's Roman Catholic High School, Longsight, contacted the police on Friday afternoon to say they had received several complaints about large groups of youths congregating and throwing snowballs.

Greater Manchester Police said they were contacted about the incident but no officers were sent to the scene.

One woman, who did not wish to be named, claimed that children from the school were 'acting like a mob',' standing in the road and screaming and swearing, laughing and throwing snowballs at car windows.

She complained directly to the school, claiming her family had suffered 'disgusting abuse' at the hands of several pupils. …
