SALFORD CITY hope to build on Saturday's derby win over Ashton United when they host another of their promotion rivals tonight.

Workington are joint-second with the Ammies in the Evo-Stik Premier, with both still having a slim chance of reeling in leaders Blyth.

The Spartans are 12 points clear but Salford have one game in hand and Workington two, although the Ammies' joint-managers Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson are focused on securing a play-off spot.

"Until the play-offs are concrete, every game is massive," said Morley. "Everyone knows what me and Johnno are like, every game's a cup final.

"If we beat Workington then we make it easier for ourselves. If we don't then may the battle continue!" Salford got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against ASHTON UNITED at the weekend and the Robins aim to bounce back away to rock-bottom Ramsbottom. …
