MORE than 50 passengers had a 'mega nightmare' after being 'imprisoned' on a Megabus at a service station - without food or water - for more than two hours.

Those on board the bus from Manchester to London were left stranded at Watford Gap after their driver allegedly abandoned them - leaving them unable to even go to the toilet.

Despite claims another driver did not show up for another two hours, Megabus chiefs allegedly told passengers they couldn't leave the bus.

Customers claim they were told if they did leave, to eat or go to the toilet, they risked being left behind when another driver did eventually arrive.

The number 71 bus was supposed to arrive in London at 11.30am, having left Manchester at 6.40am.

But passengers say they were stranded in Watford from 10am until after midday, meaning the bus was two hours behind schedule. …
