Tony Stewart offered his congratulations for future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning as he announced his retirement.

Manning officially announced on Monday he was hanging up his helmet after a stellar NFL career. Manning has retired as the NFL's all-time leader in passing touchdowns (539) and passing yards (71,940) and helped guide the Denver Broncos to a victory over the Carolina Panthers in last February's Super Bowl 50.

"I think probably everyone knew this was coming but I think that's what made this year's Super Bowl so special," Stewart said, "back in his final year in the sport and go out and win the Super Bowl."
