Morley Left Baffled by Ammies' Lack of Goals

JOINT-MANAGER Bernard Morley has labelled SALFORD CITY's 3-1 defeat at Skelmersdale United on Saturday as unacceptable.

The Ammies are looking to secure a place in the Evo-Stik Premier play-offs but dropped one place to third after a hat-trick by Hazel Grove teenager Max Hazeldine.

The Accrington Stanley loanee gave Skem an 11th-minute lead, only for Danny Webber to equalise with a 16th-minute penalty.

But Hazeldine, who had a spell on loan at Stockport County earlier this season, then struck either side of the break to lift the hosts to 16th.

"It's hard to swallow," said Morley. "We knew it would be a tough game, regardless of the league table, but it was unacceptable.

"There's a helluva lot wrong. We finished the game with John Johnston, Richie Allen, Josh Hine and Jordan Hulme up there. …
