AN aspiring dancer from Chorlton says she can't wait to represent her country at the Dance World Cup.

Sophie Searle, 12, will take on the best young performers from across the globe at the high-profile event in Jersey this summer.

Sophie will be joined by nine other girls from the Danceworks studios in Eccles, where she trains almost every day in ballet, modern, tap, contemporary and street dance.

Last month, the Danceworks team were ecstatic when they received a letter from the Queen wishing them good luck in the competition, which begins on July 2. They will compete against youngsters from 37 other countries.

Sophie's mum Charlotte said her daughter was excited about wearing an England tracksuit and couldn't wait to walk behind the country's flag at the opening ceremony. …
