Passenger in Nissan Altima That Struck Several Cars Declared Dead at the Scene

A female passenger was pronounced dead after the car she was riding in struck several other cars in a string of incidents that began about 10:26 p.m. Saturday at 5331 S.W. 22nd Place.

A Nissan Altima was reported to have been involved in a wreck with a Capital City Cab, Topeka police Cpt. Ash Kaboudan said in a news release. The Nissan was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger who left the scene. Prior to the arrival of law enforcement officers, the Nissan struck two parked vehicles on the lot. The driver of the cab was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The emergency communications center received a report at 10:39 p.m. of a wreck on S.W. 6th, between Fairlawn and Gage, involving the Nissan. The driver of the other vehicle relayed information on the direction of the Nissan. …
