Fellaini Escapes Charge to Face Liverpool at OT

MAROUANE Fellaini will be available to play against Liverpool in Thursday's Europa League last 16 second leg after UEFA decided not to charge the United midfielder after an incident involving Emre Can.

The Belgian, right, midfielder appeared to elbow Can at the end of United's 2-0 first leg defeat at Anfield last Thursday night, but UEFA have decided against any sanction.

The incident was missed by Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo but Louis van Gaal accepted afterwards that the 28-year- old could face retrospective action.

However, because the altercation wasn't mentioned in the officials' report, Fellaini won't face a charge and is free to play in the return leg against Liverpool on Thursday.
