LINDENWOOD UNIVERITY > Downtown operations moved to Old Post Office * Lindenwood University is moving out of its location on Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis and relocating into the Old Post Office at Ninth and Olive streets, also downtown.

The university expects to move its Wildwood and St. Louis accelerated degree program operations into the new location April 1.

"We outgrew our current space and wanted to strengthen our commitment to urban education, like no other," Lindenwood System President Michael Shonrock said in a statement.

The move means Lindenwood will quadruple its downtown footprint to 32,000 square feet. It is taking over the space vacated when Webster University moved its downtown operations to the historic Arcade Building at 800 Olive Street this year.

Mayor Francis Slay welcomed the move. …
