Former Rams LB Laurinaitis signs with Saints

Linebacker James Laurinaitis became the second longtime Ram to find a new home this week, agreeing to terms with the New Orleans Saints.

The Rams' all-time leader in tackles, and a four-time team captain, Laurinaitis was released on Feb. 19. Besides the Saints, he had also paid a free-agent visit to Atlanta since his release.

Laurinaitis, a second-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2009, had been the second-longest tenured Ram. The longest-tenured Ram, defensive end Chris Long, agreed to terms with New England on Tuesday night. (Jim Thomas)
