Sheriff to conduct weekend DUI patrol

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DUI saturation patrol, Sheriff Herman Jones said. The DUI patrol will occur between the hours of 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Semi rollover closes portion of highway

A turning semitrailer fell onto its side about 9:35 a.m. Wednesday near the Kansas Turnpike's South Topeka plaza, injuring the driver, John William, 43, of Lawton, Okla.

The report said William was eastbound on the Turnpike exiting onto northbound US-75 highway when his Peterbilt semi rolled onto its side to the south.

2 injured in crash on bridge at Willard
