All-North Jersey Boys Bowling: Team of the Year: Indian Hills

Indian Hills raised its standards to such a degree that its fans needed to do the same.

The Braves broke numerous program records in 2015-16 and seemed to attract record crowds in the process. Several of their followers regularly brought stepladders to tournaments to ensure they could see over any spectators that gathered.

Indian Hills treated those viewers to championship performances at virtually every major event, including the Crusader Classic and Bergen County and North 1A tournaments. It averaged 821 in four- player league games (205 per bowler) and 1,058 in five-player tourney games (211 per bowler), and capped the winter with its best state final score (3,110) and placement (third in Group 4) at Carolier Lanes, previously a house of heartache.

All that made it easy to choose the Braves as The Record Boys Bowling Team of the Year.

"We all got hot at just the right time, at the end of the season," senior Craig Oriente said. "It's a great team, You can't say much more about it."

Indian Hills also added its third straight Big North Freedom Division title, going 16-0 to run its match-play win streak to 49. …
