THE owner of Boo the Dog has thanked the thousands of people who offered their 'incredible' support after her pet was savagely attacked by raiders.

Maggie Burgess found the fiveyear-old Shar-Pei in a pool of blood after she was set upon with a machete.

She thinks Boo was trying to defend her Beswick home and was hacked by the sick thugs when she put up a fight.

Incredibly, Boo survived - and is recovering from major surgery for a number of stab wounds. The veterinary team discovered she had also suffered a fractured skull and other head injuries.

Thousands of social media users have posted messages of support for Boo and Maggie - with scores of pictures of other lovable pets from across the country uploaded in solidarity with the brave dog. A Facebook group called 'Justice For Boo' has attracted nearly 14,000 members and a social media fundraising appeal has raised Pounds 3,300 to help Maggie with vet's bills. …
