Passaic Gop Endorses Trump

The Passaic County Regular Republican Organization has endorsed Donald Trump for president.

Republicans also chose Steve Arienta, a former New York City police detective, and Tafari Anderson, who sits on the Clifton school board, as their candidates for the Passaic County Board of Freeholders. Two seats are up for election this year. A third candidate, Patricia Rivera, was not endorsed.

Candidates for county office, as well as for the 5th, 9th and 11th congressional districts, made their case earlier this month before the party membership as to why they should be endorsed. Representatives for presidential hopefuls John Kasich and Ted Cruz also spoke to the group.

The county GOP's executive board then met to select their candidates.

Frank Feenan, who ran unopposed, was named the Republican candidate for sheriff. …
