A HAT-TRICK from M.E.N. columnist Josh Charnley helped Wigan Warriors secure a hard-fought victory over Hull KR at DW Stadium.

The winger, who is pondering a cross-code move to Sale Sharks, took his career total points to 656 - more than any other current Wigan player.

"He did really good, Josh," said head coach Shaun Wane. "He's a smart player, a good player and I think he's been good all year."

With just a three-day turnaround between victory over St Helens on Good Friday and this match, Wane conceded he was not expecting a top-level display.

"It's a tough day this, it's a test for everybody, but that's why I like it. There were still some good performances."

Wigan opened the scoring through Lewis Tierney, but went in behind at half-time as KR grabbed two tries in two minutes through Graeme Horne and former Warrior Iain Thornley. …
