JANE Ross' first goal for City Women set the Blues on their way to a 2-0 victory over ten-strong Arsenal at the City Academy Stadium.

Toni Duggan's fine cross allowed Ross to fire a header into the far corner after City looked to be drawing a blank.

Duggan went from provider to scorer as she fired home a penalty late on to secure the win after Nikita Parris was brought down in the box to give City a second FA Women's Premier League win of the season.

Arsenal were reduced to ten early on, with Rosie White seeing red for hauling down Ross when she was through on goal.

Just minutes before, the away side had rattled the crossbar. England legend Fara Williams fired a shot that had Karen Bardsley beaten, before bouncing off the crossbar.
