East End Church to Conduct Youth Summer Camps

Christ Church United Methodist will host a series of weeklong day camps over the summer for children in grades incoming first through five. Each week's camp will have a different theme, such as Community Service, Art/Music and Science/Engineering.

The camps will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, starting in June, with early morning and afternoon care available for those who need it.

The camp schedule/themes include:

" June 6-10: How to Be a Human: Basic Skills You Don't Learn in School

" June 13-17: Nature Camp: Dig in the Dirt and Eat Fried Worms

" June 20-24: Free Form: A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

" June 27-July 1: Community Camp: Exploring and Impacting Your Community

" July 5-July 8 (four-day camp): Travel West Virginia Camp: Vacation Every Day

" July 11-July 15: Arts and Music Camp: Creativity Unleashed

" July 18-July 22: Kaboom: And Other Science Experiments

" July 25-July 29: Chef Camp: Christ Church Chopped. …
