Baker Women Fall to MidAmerica Nazarene in NAIA Title Game

The Baker women's basketball team saw its bid for the school's first national title come up short in the NAIA title game, with the Wildcats falling to Heart of America rival MidAmerica Nazarene 49- 35 on Tuesday at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Mo.

Baker (28-9) led 25-21 at halftime but the Wildcats were undone by a two-point third quarter. MidAmerica Nazarene (32-5) outscored Baker 28-10 in the second half, defeating the Wildcats for the fourth time this season.

Kelsey Larson and Macy Wallisch each had eight points for Baker, which finished 15 of 61 from the floor for 25 percent.

Kyleesha Weston scored a game-high 21 points for MidAmerica Nazarene while Jasmine Webb added 11.
