WASHBURN BASEBALL NOTCHES WIN AT NEBRASKA-KEARNEY: Washburn recorded a season-high 21 hits in a 14-7 win on the road Sunday against Nebraska-Kearney, which tied the game at 7-7 in the fourth inning before Washburn retook the lead with a two-run home run by Payton Soicher in the fifth. The Ichabods tacked on three more runs in the sixth inning, making the score 12-7 and putting the game out of reach.

NO. 10 HORNETS OVERWHELM CENTRAL OKLAHOMA: Six Hornets homered as Emporia State pummeled Central Oklahoma 25-8. Playing on their home field, the Hornets scored in five of the six innings in which they batted, including notching six runs in the first and pouring in 11 more in the fifth.
