CORONATION Street favourite Beverley Callard has thanked fans and costars for their support as she battles depression. The actress, who plays popular Rovers Return landlady Liz McDonald, is taking some time off work as she struggles with mental illness, and she says she has been heartened by the messages she has received from Corrie viewers and co-stars.

Taking to Twitter to thank them for their support, she said: "Do you know what, had so many messages from the crew. It's fab! We have the best crew in the world! Love 'em!
