Homewood Man Wanted in Shooting of Two Teenagers

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man charged with shooting two teenagers as they walked down a street in Homewood last week.

Maurice Christian-Smith, 22, of Homewood, faces two counts of attempted homicide and other offenses after police said he shot and wounded two friends - a 14- and a 16-year-old boy - March 30.

The teenagers told police that they were walking down Brushton Avenue toward Frankstown Avenue about 10 p.m. when Mr. Christian- Smith approached them from a porch at a nearby house, according to a criminal complaint.

Mr. Christian-Smith started shooting at them, the teenagers told police, and they ran away.

One of the teenagers had been shot in the ankle, shattering it, and collapsed on Brushton Avenue, the complaint said. …
