Scott Depot, Dawes Health Centers Land Funding for Substance Abuse Services

Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D- W.Va.) announced on March 11 that five community health centers across West Virginia will receive more than $1.7 million to improve and expand substance abuse services. This U.S. Department of Health and Human Services funding will help health centers better address the substance abuse treatment needs in their communities, with a focus on treating opioid use disorders.

The five community health centers receiving awards are Valley Health Systems, Inc. in Huntington; Change, Inc. in Weirton; Cabin Creek Health Center, Inc. in Dawes; Womencare, Inc. in Scott Depot and Community Care of West Virginia in Rock Cave.
