Tai Chi: Beginning Monday, April 18, a new Tai Chi for Arthritis class will begin at the Hansford Senior Center, 500 Washington St. St. Albans. The class will be led by certified instructor Dr. Sarah Umphress. The class will meet twice weekly, Monday and Friday evenings at 4:30 pm. The class is free and open to the public. The Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi program will improve balance, flexibility, heart and lung activity, postural alignment, strength, and mobility. TCA also helps reduce blood pressure, stress, falls, and fear of falling. For more information, call 304-722-4621. Community Concert: The Cross Lanes Community Concert series will present MountainGrass in a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church, 5320 Frontier Drive, Cross Lanes. WVHA Spring Fair: The West Virginia Herb Association will have a spring fair on Saturday, April 23, at the India Center, just off Corridor G in South Charleston, across the road from the Southridge Walmart. The fair will include make-and-take classes in Essential Oils 101, Herbal Teas, Herbal Salves and Herbs for the Household. It will also have numerous vendors, lunch included and raffles. Registration/sign-in begins at 9 a.m. The first class starts at 10 a.m. The early bird registration fee is $20. Rubberifics: The Rubberifics will host a card-making activity with a bird and birdcage theme from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 839 Chestnut St., South Charleston.
