Members of Gregg Allman's crew were hospitalized Wednesday morning after one of the singer's tour buses wrecked in Jackson County. Ken Weinstein, a spokesman for Allman, confirmed that the bus that wrecked carried Allman's crew. He said three members were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and were released a few hours later.

The 68-year-old musician, who was scheduled to perform Wednesday at the Clay Center, was not on the bus.

"Tonight's show is going on as scheduled, Weinstein said.

Police and a Jackson County dispatcher said the bus wrecked at about 4:30 a.m. near the 119 mile marker on Interstate 77, south of Goldtown and near the Jackson County/Kanawha County line.

Jackson County Sheriff Tony Boggs said wreck occurred when the bus driver choked on his coffee. The bus, which was traveling southbound, crossed the median into the northbound lanes, left the road, and plunged over a steep embankment. …
