Lumire Place Registers Strongest March Gain among 6 St. Louis Area Casinos

In March, four although one just barely of the St. Louis area's six casinos surpassed their net gambling receipts, or net gambling revenue, of March 2015, state gambling regulators reported Monday.

Leading the winnings parade, based on percentage increase, was Lumire Place, where revenue rose 6 percent to nearly $13 million. That followed a 7.2 percent increase in the casino's winnings in February.

Net gambling revenue represents the casino's winnings, which is the total revenue from gambling less the casino's losses to its customers.

Ameristar St. Charles held its position as the market's biggest winner, although March revenue dipped nearly 2 percent as a result of a 6.5 percent drop in slot machine revenue.
