Dealers Jailed after Police Smelled Drugs Wafting from Their Car

TWO DRUG dealers have been locked up after being caught red- handed carrying a huge stash of illegal substances.

Mohammed Jahangir Bashir, 44, and Azhar Iqbal, 31, were stopped by police in Oldham after officers smelled cannabis coming from their car.

The pair were detained after being pulled over by GMP's Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit on Lees Road.

When Bashir and Iqbal were searched at a police station, officers discovered carrying cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis.

They were both arrested and further drug paraphernalia was found in their homes, implicating them in the supply of controlled substances.

Bashir, of Prospect Place, Ashton-under-Lyne, was jailed for seven years at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court after being found guilty of two counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine. …
