Former RoadRunners Coach Scott Langer Hired by Aberdeen Wings

Scott Langer will return to the coaching bench in the North American Hockey League next season.

The former Topeka RoadRunners coach was hired by the Aberdeen (S.D.) Wings as head coach on Wednesday, the team announced in a news release.

"Scott Langer brings a wealth of success and experience to the Wings that we hope will propel our team to a level that the great fans of Aberdeen deserve," Wings owner Greg Odde said. "Our goal is and has been to be one of the top teams in the NAHL. We look forward to continuing this mission with Scott."

Langer was relieved of his duties as RoadRunners head coach and general manager in January, with ownership citing a rift in regard to the direction of the team. Josh Kamrass now serves as interim coach for the RoadRunners, who will open the NAHL playoffs against the Lone Star Brahmas at 7:30 p. …
