RAHEEM Sterling could be back in City's squad for their trip to Chelsea tomorrow.

The England international is said to be ahead of schedule following the groin injury he picked up in the derby defeat to United last month.

Sterling wasn't ready to make Tuesday's Champions League victory against Paris St Germain - but, according to the Mirror, has stepped up work in the gym and could be in consideration for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Manuel Pellegrini will not want to rush the Pounds 44m forward - especially with City looking ahead to the Champions League semi- finals.

But the game against Chelsea could be vital to their hopes of securing a place in the top four.

City are four points clear of United with six games to play.

While winning the Champions League will be their priority, a place in the top four still represents their safest passage back into the competition next season. …
