ST. LOUIS * Two pedestrians were killed in separate hit-and-run crashes in St. Louis in a three-hour stretch from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, police say.

No arrests had been made.

The first happened just before 9 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Florissant Avenue. The area is near St. Louis Place Park.

Police identified the victim as Percy Wade, 45, of the 3200 block of North 20th Street.

Wade had been walking across North Florissant and stopped in the center turn lane near Sullivan Avenue. A vehicle heading south on North Florissant at high speed hit Wade and kept going, police say.

The vehicle was described as a white Chevrolet Impala. Police had no description of the driver.

In the second crash, an unidentified woman was struck and killed just after midnight Tuesday at North Grand Boulevard and Cottage Avenue, police say. …
