MARSHALL BASKETBALL ; Allison Signing, Dozic Exit Puts Herd at 13 on Scholarship

With point guard Ky're Allison's signing, the Marshall basketball team is back at the limit of 13 scholarship players. Two other factors came into play, but the Thundering Herd sits at 13 and its scholarship roster may well be set for the 2016-17 season.

It was confirmed Friday that Aleksandar Dozic will not return. Also, Jacara Cross did not hold an offer from MU, as some recruiting- oriented outlets had reported.

Allison hails from Portsmouth, Ohio, about an hour downriver from Huntington. He became Portsmouth High's all-time leading scorer and was named co-player of the year in Ohio's Division III by The Associated Press.

He earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior, and was the AP's Southeastern District player of the year. He played in the recent Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game.
