KEITH HILL is expecting an exciting clash against Gillingham at Spotland tonight with both teams dead set on three points.

Dale moved to within four points of sixth-placed Gillingham on Saturday when they beat Blackpool 3-0, while the Gills were beaten at home against Port Vale.

The gap could be narrowed to a single point if Hill's men can beat tonight's visitors.

However, the Dale chief insists the fixture will not be a season- deciding game and said his team would not go gung-ho in their bid to secure the three points as they had done in the past.

"I think both teams will want to win the game, no question, because a draw wouldn't suit anyone," said Hill ahead of Tuesday night's game at Spotland.
