The pastor of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, along with two deacons and a young girl, are swept away by the Mississippi River and drown during an Easter baptismal service.

PARK JOBS PROGRAM

Young people in Missouri have an opportunity to work outdoors at state parks and historic sites through the State Parks Youth Corps. Online applications are being accepted for youths ages 17 to 24. State Parks Youth Corps is a partnership between the Division of Workforce Development and Missouri State Parks.

The program will offer more than 600 positions to Missourians at state parks and historic sites as well as in municipal parks in St. Louis and Kansas City. Applications for the program are being accepted online at thinkoutside. …
