Two City Men Sentenced in US Court for Drug Crimes

Two Charleston men were sentenced to federal prison for drug- related crimes Wednesday, authorities said. Leon Wilson Jr., 43, was sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison for distribution of heroin, according to a media release from Acting United States Attorney Carol Casto

In May 2015, Wilson admitted to a confidential informant working with law enforcement that he sold heroin on three separate occasions, according to the release. All of the drug deals took place at Wilson's apartment in Charleston. After the deals, the release says Kanawha County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Wilson's home where officers found more than $1,000 cash, and pre-recorded buy money used in one of the drug deals with the informant.

In a separate case, Anton Courts, 40, was sentenced to a year and three months in prison for distribution of crack and heroin, according to the release. …
